Escape to a magic holiday on Great Barrier Island, New Zealand just 30 minutes flying time from Auckland City or 4 - 5 hours on the car ferry.

Our accommodation units are set in park like grounds, in quiet surroundings frequented by bird life including banded rail, kaka, kereru, tui, many finches and fantails. Each unit is self contained and a barbeque is available for our guests to cook their catch of fish (or sausages if the big one got away!)  The Lodge is within easy walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants, cafes the Currach Irish Pub, Tipi & Bobs Waterfront Lodge and the Great Barrier Social Club. 

Great Barrier Island has all that you would expect from an island holiday destination and more - rugged, untamed landscapes, white sandy beaches, native forest, and rare plant and animal life. By arrangement the shuttle service or tour vehicles will collect you and deliver you to other parts of the island or we can arrange a rental car for you.
